IT Sales Consultant | Aberdeen | Permanent| £40,000 Avenue has a fantastic opportunity for a IT Sales consultant to join their client, a leading, customer focussed, managed print services (MPS) provider, in their Aberdeen facility. Purpose of the Role: To drive sales for Microsoft, Email Security, Cloud Back-Up, and Identity Management solutions within the customer base. Vendors - Microsoft, Barracuda, and Thales, with the potential to add new vendors Responsibilities for IT Sales Consultant: Primary activity is to call the customers to discuss the broader portfolio remotely or in person, rather than relying on marketing or MPS account manager for introductions Building strong relationships with MPS Account Managers, to make use of their relationships with the customer to arrange an introduction meeting to begin conversations around Microsoft, Barracuda and Thales Build strong relationships with the vendor end-user sales team to ensure they support with live opportunities, pricing and ensure they are providing sales leads in return Arranging regular refresh training to all company sales teams, enabling them to open doors using their customer relationships Monthly visits / remote calls with the vendor channel team, to help build and develop strong relationships Own sales activity off the back of marketing campaigns and communicate regularly with vendor channel manager on ideas/feedback received Organise and create content for monthly webinars or face to face customer events for customers to attend in partnership with the vendors, funded and supported where needed by the vendorsKnowledge, Experience & Skills for IT Sales Consultant; Proven sales record successfully selling Microsoft, Email Security or Identity Management products 2 years field sales experience Worked for a reseller Proactive nature with a successful track record as a business development manager Strong emotional intelligence, with a clear ability to get on with people to get what is needed from the relationship A confident presenter Marketing Activity included in campaign; Aligned to all marketing campaigns and part of the follow-up plan Customer Webinars - Customer events Weekly social media content to be posted If you are interested in the IT Sales Consultant position please apply with an up to date CV for consideration.
