We are expanding our Engineering provision and are seeking anexperienced Lecturerto join our established and high-performing team. With strong student demand and a well-developed curriculum in place, this role is focused on enhancing capacity and bringing proven teaching expertise to support continued growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for anexperienced Engineering teacher - particularly from Further Education- who is looking to join a supportive environment where teaching quality, curriculum development and industry relevance are key priorities.
We are especially interested in candidates with a background inmechanical design and CAD (ideally SolidWorks), who can further strengthen this specialist area within an already successful delivery model.

Your timetable will be aligned to your specialism wherever possible, allowing you to deliver high-quality teaching in your strongest areas while contributing to the wider curriculum.

Any successful candidates will be required to complete a structured training pathway, unless they already hold the relevant qualifications. This includes a two-week teacher induction, followed by the Award in Education and Training (AET), and then the Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher (LST) apprenticeship. There is also the option to pursue Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) at a later stage.

What You Will Teach

- T Levels- Design&Development for Engineering&Manufacturing (Mechanical and Electrical/Electronic pathways).
- City&Guilds Engineering- Level 1 and Level 2 programmes with a balanced mix of mechanical and electrical/electronic content.
- Engineering Apprenticeships- Levels 2 to 4 across a range of pathways.
Our delivery model reflectsbest practice in Further Education, with a strong emphasis onapplied learning and industry relevance. Depending on your experience, this may include:
- CAD and design-led teaching (including SolidWorks).
- Practical, workshop-based delivery.
- Applied engineering theory.
- Project-based learning linked to real-world engineering contexts.
About You
We are looking for acommitted and experienced educatorwho:
- Has a background teaching Engineering within Further Education (or similar setting)
- Brings strong subject knowledge, particularly in mechanical design and/or CAD
- Is passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and supporting student progression
- Can contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
- Values collaboration and sharing best practice within a team
