Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Credit Control Officer to support the finance team with managing customer accounts and ensuring timely payments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in finance and credit control, with training and development provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring customer accounts and outstanding balances
• Support the credit control process by chasing overdue invoices via email and phone
• Maintain accurate records of customer payments and communications
• Allocate payments and assist with account reconciliations
• Help resolve invoice queries and discrepancies in a timely manner
• Prepare basic aged debt reports for review by senior team members
• Support month-end accounts receivable processes
• Follow company credit control procedures and policies
• Provide general administrative support to the finance team as required

Requirements

• Some experience in an accounts, finance, or administrative role preferred (but not essential)
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
• Confident communication skills and a professional telephone manner
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Willingness to learn and develop within a finance environment
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work well as part of a team
