SENIOR VIRUS PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN - PERMANENT - SHIFTS - UP TO £39,000 INC SHIFT A leading manufacturing organisation based in the Surrey area are looking for a Senior Virus Production Technician to join their site on a permanent basis working shifts, 5 on 5 off 2 on 2 off (11 hour day shifts). Working along side other Technician's within the team you will support the production of batch virus antigens whilst maintaining HSE (health safety and environmental) and GMP (good manufacturing practice) compliance at all times. You will ensure thorough cleaning and sterilisation of the production plant and equipment is carried out in accordance with SOP's (standard operating procedures) and ensuring the area is clean and tidy in accordance to GMP standards. You will act as Deputy to the Manager in overseeing a small team of Operators/ Technicians outside of core working hours to ensure they are following correct procedures and standards when carrying out their duties as well dealing with any incidents or accidents in an efficient manner. Successful candidates will have working experience within a regulated manufacturing environment in the biotechnology/ biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry familiar with the manufacture of sterile/ aseptic products. You would have experience in overseeing or supervising small teams or in a deputy position.
