About the Role

This role isn’t a run-of-the-mill service engineer post. You’ll be front-line in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing commercial and residential air-conditioning and refrigeration systems across London and the Southeast. This will be a mixture of service and breakdown installations and planned maintenance too.

You’ll be expected to manage your workload efficiently, communicate clearly with customers, and deliver a standard of work that reinforces why our client is regularly recommended for reliability and professionalism.

They work with a diverse range of clients across both commercial and domestic sectors, covering installations, servicing and repairs throughout Kent, London and neighbouring counties.

Working Hours

Monday – Friday: 8 hours per day (core field schedule)Overtime available throughout the week and weekends

Key Duties

• Service, maintain, diagnose and repair air-conditioning and refrigeration systems

• Attend breakdowns and emergency calls with a practical, solution-oriented approach

• Support installation projects when needed and assist more junior colleagues

• Complete accurate reports and job documentation after each visit

• Build rapport with clients through professional conduct and clear communication

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as an AC & refrigeration engineer (typically 4 + years)

• Relevant technical qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)

• Strong troubleshooting skills and the confidence to work independently

• Clean driving licence and flexibility to travel across client locations

• Good communication skills and a customer-focussed attitude
