Divisional Manager (Nr Tring Hertfordshire)

£28,000 Basic + £7,500 On Target Bonus (Uncapped) = £35,500 OTE+

We are an established Automotive Logistics Company looking to recruit for a Divisional Manager for our Tring office. Our business moves in the region of 15,000 vehicles per annum around the UK for retailers and manufacturers delivering new and used vehicles to customers, and moving vehicles between retailers. We do this through a large team of trade plate drivers and a fleet of single vehicle trailers.

We are looking for a dynamic, personable and meticulously organised individual with strong IT and communication skills to manage the day to day operations the business and grow our client base through building new relationships and winning business from vehicle retailers, lease companies and manufacturers. The successful applicant with the support of an admin team will manage a team of trade plate and trailer drivers, ensuring their safety and compliance, along with taking full responsibility of the financial performance of the branch.

This is a varied and interesting role which gives the successful candidate the opportunity (with hands on assistance from our senior team) to continue to build the business and witness it flourish. You will be responsible for a number of different key elements, including the day to day management of the branch, prospecting retailers and building a network of clients for which we can offer our services, assisting when required with pricing and booking movements, managing health and safety, training and financial controls.

Providing a professional service to our customers is of paramount importance therefore a friendly, punctual, outgoing, dependable and organised approach is of vital importance.

Due to the requirement to visit customers (in one of our fleet of vehicles) and assist with moving drivers around on occasion, the successful applicant will need to have a good attention to detail, a clean driving licence (or maximum of 3 points), have 8 years minimum driving experience (for insurance purposes).

Responsibilities:

- Market the local area to grow our customer base.
- Manage a team of Drivers, overseeing the team calculating their fees and assigning jobs, and their adherence to procedures.
- Track financial performance of the branch.
- Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner

Skills:

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (see above)
- Excellent communication skills in order to efficiently interact with customers and team members.

- Ability to build strong relationships quickly, and communicate at all levels.

- Organised with a strong attention to detail.

- An above average knowledge of Office products such as Excel.

Hours:

This role is based on Mon-Fri 8:30am to 6:00pm with an hour for lunch, and a Saturday morning on a 1 in 3 rota from 9am to 1:00pm.
