What You Will Do

• Manage acomplex caseloadinvolvingChildren in Need, Child Protection, and Care Proceedings.
• Undertakecomprehensive assessments, interventions, and risk managementto ensure children are safeguarded effectively.
• Providementoring, coaching, and informal supervisionto Social Workers and Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWs).
• Lead oncomplex safeguarding casesand provide professional advice and guidance within the team.
• Participate instrategy discussions, case conferences, and multi-agency meetingsto coordinate safeguarding responses.
• Ensure all casework complies withstatutory frameworks, safeguarding legislation, and local authority procedures.
• Maintainaccurate, high-quality, and timely case recordingsin line with professional standards.
• Work closely witheducation, health services, police, and other partner agenciesto protect and support children and families.
• Support theTeam Managerin driving service improvements, maintaining performance standards, and promoting best practice.

Requirements

• QualifiedSocial WorkerwithSocial Work England registration.
• Significant experience withinChildren's Social Care safeguarding services.
• Strong knowledge ofUK safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance.
• Experience managingcomplex child protection cases and court work.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
