Graduate Science Technician - Independent Secondary School, Chipping Barnet

Veritas Education are currently working with an independent secondary school in Barnet that is seeking a Science Technician to support the science department. The school serves students with high academic standards and offers new facilities across departments. The role concentrates on practical support during science lessons and occasional class sessions, with opportunities to develop within a supportive team.

• Collaborate with other technicians to prepare materials and equipment for science lessons
• Carry out risk assessments and ensure safe laboratory practices
• Manage stock, equipment, and waste disposal in accordance with school policies
• Support students during practical sessions and, as needed, in class activities

• Science-based degree (BSc/MSc/MRes/PhD) is essential
• Previous experience in a laboratory setting
• Experience working in an educational setting (e.g., with children)
• Must have a valid DBS certificate and two satisfactory references
