Arborists Climbers and Team Leaders Our client operate arboriculture services across the UK on behalf of both public and private sector clients. Following extensive growth of our arboriculture services in the region and a review of their existing structure, positions have arisen for experienced Climbers and Team Leaders to manage developing teams and take a lead in implementation of physical arboricultural services across the North Region. We seek highly motivated, ambitious and driven individuals who are able to deliver great results and fit into the our clients culture.As a result of securing a number of large Arb contracts and internal changes, we are looking for enthusiastic, experienced and reliable Arborists and Team Leaders to join our professional, dynamic and growing team to help the department grow and thrive while delivering to a high standard. This role will require you to: Effectively manage staff under your direct control Ensure services are delivered in compliance with specification and customer expectations Effective management and utilisation of resources under your control including labour, transport, plant & equipment Ensure stated delivery targets are achieved Ensure compliance with HSEQ processes and procedures Produce job specific risk assessments and communicate to effectively to the team Encourage and motivate the climbers and groundsman under your control Carry out any other reasonable duties as required support the line manager in purchasing all necessary materials required to deliver contract works to agreed budget constraints Support the line manager in liaising with contract clients and members of staff to ensure an integrated and professional approach to contract delivery throughout the operational area. Implement safe systems of work at all times in line with Health and Safety legislation, complying with Risk Assessments and Method Statements ensuring a safe working environment prior to the commencement of implementation works To ensure compliance with environmental protection legislation at all times to include COSHH maintain tools and equipment in a safe and responsible manner ensuring that all equipment used is returned to base and stored securely To take responsibility for personal climbing equipment ensuring that LOLER check forms are completed and sent to the Operations Manager on a weekly basisQualifications Appropriate NPTC qualifications and/or industry related certificates of competence Current Full UK Driving LicenseExperience A minimum of 3 years within the industry Experience of delivering operational services across the Arb Industry with the ability to undertake complicated tree works Ability to manage a team of Arborists delivering an agreed programme of works Able to delivery to agreed budgets and times constraints Track record of liaising and working with a cross sector of clients across the commercial sectorSkills & Aptitudes Strong climbing ability and a clear understanding of up to date techniques and requirements Able the Operations Manager with identifying and developing new opportunities Able to demonstrate good team leader skills through leadership, innovation and the ability to tackle challenges in an imaginative, constructive and responsive manner Ability to review and communicate relevant risk assessments and method statements Possess a high level of motivation and a drive for high achievement Able to lead, motivate and manage teamsDesirable Requirements An understanding of Arboricutural Association Requirements supporting with our Approved Contractor Status
