About the Post:

An exciting opportunity has become available for a full time permanent Bereavement Services Officer to join our team.

Based in the crematorium office you will work within a small team of people responsible for the day to day delivery of burials and cremations.

Roles and responsibilities will include:

  • The co-ordination of cremation/burial paperwork and update the Epilog system
  • Assist with memorial applications
  • Liaising with funeral directors and members of the public over the phone and in person on a variety of matters
  • Attend appointments to scatter/inter cremated remains within the grounds

The post holder will require a sensitive personality and be able to deal with a variety of situations that require tact and diplomacy.
A friendly outgoing personality is essential along with the necessary skills required to work in such a sensitive setting.
Excellent IT skills and a good understanding of bereavement issues will enable the right candidate to excel in this position.
