What you will do:

• Manage a varied and demanding caseload, handlingreferrals, safeguarding concerns, and initial assessments.
• Undertakecomprehensive Child and Family Assessmentswithin statutory timescales, ensuringeffective risk management.
• Lead complex cases, applyingadvanced professional judgement and detailed risk analysis.
• Progress cases toChild Protection plans, Child in Need (CIN) plans, or care proceedingswhere necessary.
• Providepractice guidance and mentoringtosocial workers and newly qualified staffwithin the team.
• Participate instrategy discussions, child protection conferences, and legal planning meetings.

Person specification:

Qualifications:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
• Registration with Social Work Englandwith full compliance.

Registration and compliance:

• Enhanced DBSclearance required.
• Must have theright to work in the UK.

• Advanced safeguarding assessment and risk management skills.
• Stronganalytical thinking and professional judgement.
• Ability tomentor and support other practitionerswithin the team.
• Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.

Experience:

• Significant post-qualifying experience in Children's Social Care.

• Experiencesupporting junior staff and contributing to practice leadership.
