Job Title: Senior Software Engineer Salary: Circa £45k Hours: Flexible Location: Bedfordshire We have a brand-new opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer on a permanent basis, to join a well established Engineering businesses in the Bedfordshire area. The successful Senior Software Engineer will need to demonstrate previous experience with at least one of C/C++ or Python, also Knowledge of Fortran & Unix / Linux. This reputable Engineering company who are based in Bedfordshire work on projects with both Aerospace and Defence clients. They have been established for over 40 years and have approx 120 employees. They are one of few businesses, that are heavily recruiting at present. Senior Software Engineer Responsibilities * Develop and maintain existing software, enabling provision of bespoke data processing based on customer requirements * Provide input into technical discussions with customers and suppliers * Use good software development practices to develop code that is tested, documented and maintainable * Provide input to the continuous development of software quality processes Senior Software Engineer Requirements * Experience developing software that performs three dimensional spatial manipulations * Experience working with legacy software * Experience developing software using at least one of C/C++ or Python * A sound knowledge of good practices within software development.
