Reablement Home Care Workers Required. VIRTUAL INTERVIEWS BEING HELD VIA SKYPE OR ZOOM FREE DBS We have a great opportunity for carers to work with the re-ablement team in Central Bedfordshire. The role itself is to support service users when they are newly out of hospital and who need short-term support during their recovery (perhaps after a stroke, operation or fall) to become independent in their own home again. This will include some personal care and help with domestic tasks. You must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle. You must be confident in lone working. You will attend an induction session and then shadow another member of the team before working alone. You will be required to have business use on your car insurance. You would just need to contact your existing provider and ask them to add it to your policy. This will then enable you to claim back the mileage used between service users at 45 pence per mile. Shifts are available Monday - Sunday and two shift times are available 07.30 - 13.30 and 16.00 - 22.00 The reablement covers the whole of Central Bedfordshire split into two areas. North - (Biggleswade, Ampthill and surrounding areas) and South - (Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard and surrounding areas). It is essential that candidates live within easy access of the area. Staff must be able to work the rota and work the combination of early and late and alternate weekends. Requirements: Minimum of 6 months recent relevant UK care experience within a similar setting.
