Asset Maintenance Engineer Planner, Bedfordshire

ASSET MAINTENANCE ENGINEER PLANNER An exciting opportunity has arisen with a unique SME that has a passionate workforce of engineering and aerodynamic professionals who are looking for a expert in the field of data management and maintenance. As part of the Engineering Services team, the role reports to the Engineering Services Manager, supporting him in the development of the teams' use of their Computer based Maintenance Management System. The key purpose of the role will be to support the ESM and work with the Engineering Services team (Electricians & Mechanical Fitters) to deliver the administration, development & planning of preventative maintenance activities for the test facility and associated plant. Main responsibilities: Subject matter expert (SME) on the CMMS (Computer-based Maintenance Management System) ensuring planned maintenance is scheduled, issued and signed off. Addition/modification of assets & planned maintenance schedules within the CMMS using in house expertise and/or manufacturers' information. Review and development of PPM Work Instructions to better define and control works undertaken. Essential Skills and Competencies: Engineering background - Apprenticeship and/or significant demonstrated experience. Need to have appreciation for mechanical and electrical systems and be able to ask the right questions or use source materials to find the pertinent information and write PPM's. 3+ years planning, scheduling and auditing activities either as a hands on technician/engineer or as a maintenance planner. Excellent working knowledge & experience with a CMMS (Ideally Frontline or ShireSystem but similar would be an advantage) Experience of industrial plant equipment E.g. Transformers, motors, switchgear, valves, compressors, pumps etc. Excellent I.T skills and tech savvy. Excellent planning & communication skills.
