Infrastructure / Drainage Engineer - Bedfordshire We're currently working with a well-established design company specialising in the design and planning of cemeteries and crematoriums, parks and leisure and environment land assessment throughout the UK. As they continue to grow, they are currently looking for an Infrastructure / Drainage Engineer to join their team based in Bedfordshire. They are looking for an experienced civil and landscape drainage engineering, ideally Chartered or working towards Chartered status, to lead their in house design team. Following recent investment and an increasing workload, they are looking for someone to play a key role in expanding their design team as they grow the business over the next few years'. Applicants should have proven experience in drainage design with a solid foundation in infrastructure and civil engineering. In addition to design work, you should have strong reporting skills (FRA and SUDS reports) for planning packages. The role will be focused on the preparation of detailed drainage designs (surface water and foul water systems) for a wide range of projects including cemeteries, crematoriums, parks and sports pitch drainage design. Day to day duties will include: - The creation of detailed drainage layout drawings. - Production of FRA and SUDS reports - Site Visits and drainage inspections - Presenting proposals to clients, deal with enquiries and negotiate any amendments to the final designs. - Liaising with colleagues, clients, attending site visits and meetings - Contacting and coordinating with manufacturers and suppliers - Putting work out to tender, select a contractor, and assist cross-functional teams Requirements: - BEng Civil Engineering degree (or similar) - Post-graduate degree is desirable but not essential - Proven experience in drainage design, infrastructure and civil engineering - Strong report writing skills (FRA and SUDS) - Strong ability with software such as CAD and Causeway Drainage - High standard of written, numerical and communication skills - Customer care skills - Full UK driving licence In Return: - £32,000 - £38,000 salary - Negotiable benefits package - Genuine long-term progression and professional development prospects
