Porter (Bank) - Circle Health Group, Bedford

Porter (Bank) at The Manor Hospital, Bedford. The role is a bank shift position, working on an "as and when required" basis to support staffing levels during busy periods or staff absences.

Must be available to work weekends.

• Undertake general and ad hoc tasks to move patients, equipment and goods such as pharmacy items.
• Drive for blood runs where required.
• Explain hospital facilities and services to patients and family members when escorting them to rooms or other areas.
• Provide courteous service to internal and external customers.
• Ensure patient comfort and dignity are always maintained.
• Provide security for the facility as required, ensuring compliance of security processes and covering external patrols as appropriate.
• Comply with all relevant mandatory training.

• Front-line customer-facing experience.
• Previous portering experience in healthcare, hotel or hospitality setting beneficial.
• Maths and English GCSE at grades A to C, or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
• Proficiency in PC use, including software and systems.
• UK driving licence.
