HGV CLASS 2 DRIVER– DAY SHIFT People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Coventry . This role is ideal forexperienced drivers looking for consistent day-shift work.This role will suit applicants looking for work as a HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or C Driver. Shifts:• Monday to Friday (weekend work available) • AM start times between 05:00 – 08:00 Rates of Pay: • £15.00 - £17.00 per hour Monday to Friday • £18.00 per hour weekendsBenefits:• Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing work • Weekly pay • Immediate starts available • Weekend work available Day-to-Day Duties: • Completing Class 2 deliveries • Operating Category C vehicles safely and efficiently • Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections• Ensuring goods are loaded and secured correctly • Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations • Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements • Assisting with loading and unloading when requiredEssential Skills:• Valid UK Category C Driving Licence • Minimum 24 months Class 2 driving experience • Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • No more than six penalty points for minor offences • No major endorsement codes • Good spoken and written English • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping• Strong understanding of UK road traffic laws • Effective communication skills Desirable Experience: • Previous commercial driving experience Training Provided: • Driver assessment required prior to starting • One-day paid induction following a successful assessment • Ongoing industry-related training and supportApply: If you are interested in this opportunity as an HGV Class 2 Driver, please apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.
