Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Ebbw Vale

Opportunity to join a leading manufacturing company in their sector with a large headcount on their South Wales site of close to 400 staff. They have a long track record and history dating back over 100 years and the South Wales site is close to 40 years old. The mechanical maintenance technician will work as part of a team of 10 to ensure that all plant and equipment is maintained to a high standard. There are plans to undertake upgrade work to some of the equipment onsite during 2020 meaning good involvement in project work. As the mechanical maintenance technician, your duties will include: Reacting to equipment breakdowns Supporting and developing the PPM system onsite Carrying out planned maintenance activities as per scheduleTo apply for the mechanical maintenance technician role, you will need: Previous experience within a manufacturing environment A time served mechanical apprenticeship Experience of working with hydraulic and pneumatic equipmentIn return, the mechanical maintenance technician will receive a salary of £29,500 (including shift allowance) + pension.
