Health & Safety Manager - Public Body, Belfast

As Health & Safety Manager you will be responsible for managing the development, implementation and monitoring of the infrastructure division's safety management arrangements. Playing a key role within one of Northern Irelands largest Public Body organisations and based within their Infrastructure team, you will be based in Belfast with all projects based here in Northern Ireland. As Health & Safety Manager your new role will include but not be limited to the following: * Manage the development of divisional Safety Management System ensuring all elements are in compliance with the corporate SMS and ORR requirements to enable the retention of the Infrastructure Manager's Safety Certification * Develop and implement cross-divisional safety standards, processes and procedures to ensure compliance with the SMS * Lead the development of the Infrastructure Annual Safety Plan * Lead the delivery of a number of cross-divisional safety improvement projects arising from the Annual Safety Plan * Chair the infrastructure H&S committee, leading the consultation with staff safety representatives from various disciplines * Line manage the Safety Assurance Auditor * Ensure any non-conformances identified are reported to the relevant managers and tracked through to closeout * Ensure risk management processes are conducted and implemented * Provide professional advice to the division on all health and safety matters * Chair weekly safety and performance incident review meeting A full job description and application form can be provided upon request.
