Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Residential Home Deputy Manager to join our care home team (experienced deputy with COS considered ). The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the management of daily operations, ensuring high standards of care for our residents. This position requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional senior care while adhering to all regulatory requirements.

Duties

• Assist the Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the care home.
• Supervise staff and ensure that all team members are delivering quality care in accordance with care plans.
• Administer medication as required, following strict protocols and guidelines.
• Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual resident needs, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe environment for both residents and staff.
• Foster a positive atmosphere within the home, promoting resident dignity and independence.
• Provide training and support to staff, encouraging professional development and best practices in senior care.
• Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate resident care effectively.

Skills

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a care home or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of medication administration procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Knowledge of developing and implementing effective care plans tailored to individual needs.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with an empathetic approach towards residents and their families.
• Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively while maintaining professionalism.
• To support the Registered Manager and Responsible Individual to deliver services which are fully compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements particularly; The Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015.
• Responsible for the effective development and delivery of high-quality residential services to children’s young people and their families which improve outcomes.
• Support the registered manager in developing the leadership and management of the team, ensuring that team members work effectively with children, young people, families and all internal and partner agency staff. To carry out their statutory duties as determined, principally in relevant childcare legislation, children’s homes regulations and standards.
• To ensure that all services are planned, and delivered in a way that maximizes participation and reflects children’s rights in relation to services being provided.

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
