Accountant Northam or Thabazimbi, Torridge District

Job Responsibilities:

1. Administer accounting activities
2. Implement and maintain policies and procedures
3. Gather and monitor financial data
4. Assist to prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements
5. Assist to calculate, submit and generally comply with tax requirements
6. Assist with payroll administration and accounting
7. Manage debtors and creditors
8. Assist with loan application verifications
9. Alert team members and management of any discrepancies on loan applications or financial records
10. Co-ordinate activities related to Statutory Audit, Internal Audit and Other Audits
11. Administer treasury activities
12. Prepare budgets with forecasts of revenues, costs, cash etc
13. Manage cash (available funds, draw downs on loans, advances to clients, repayments etc)
14. Assist to prepare fund planning for raising long and short-term funding
15. Ensure and review timely repayments to all banks and other debt stakeholders and confirmations
16. Proactive coordination and maintaining excellent relationship with debt stakeholders and ensure timely communication and information.
17. Review of all documentations pertaining to debt and ensuring legal compliance of the same.
18. Preparing of various reporting required by various debt stakeholders
19. Prepare reports required by various stakeholders
20. Responsible for sending daily/ weekly/ monthly trackers as applicable for internal process /controls
