Senior Accountant Birkenhead, Wirral An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a successful accountancy firm, based out of their brand-new Birkenhead office as a Senior Accountant. You will join on a permanent basis, where over the last decade, they have grown substantially to the point of now having 2 offices, and their own accounting software business ? with this, comes huge capability for progression, development and exposure for yourself and those around you. Focussing on the smaller end of the market, you will mainly work with owner-managed businesses, providing real variety and satisfaction in your work. Using technology as their main driver, their client base has grown roughly 50% each year and they have recently moved to larger premises with an on-site gym and with beautiful views on the River Mersey and the Liverpool docks. Due to this considerable growth and success, the need has developed for a new Senior Accountant. What you will do as the Senior Accountant: * Prepare accounts for your varied client base * Bookkeeping * Personal tax and VAT returns and submissions to Companies House * Liaise directly with your clients regularly What you will need as the Senior Accountant: * Minimum AAT Qualified / Accounting Degree / QBE * Experience working in an accounting practice * Excellent communication with both internal colleagues, and external clients * Ability to take on responsibility and be driven to work under your own initiative What will be preferable for the Senior Accountant: * ACCA / ACA Part-Qualified * Experience with cloud-based accounting software packages * Excellent attention to detail * Competent with IT and MS Office What you will be rewarded with as the Senior Accountant: * Strongly Competitive Salary and an Annual Salary Review * Bonus Scheme * Pension * Fully Funded Study Support ?
