Cleaner (Term Time Only), Birkenhead

We are looking for a Cleaner to join our team. This is a 9.46 hours per week, part-time, term time only role offering a salary of £5742 per annum.

• Cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, emptying of litter bins, polishing and dusting of any college area (including toilets and shower areas) and fixtures and fittings, using powered equipment where appropriate. This may also include external entrances and localised pathways in relation to general sweep, and limited litter picking.
• Report any obvious defects such as blocked toilets, broken fixtures and fittings etc. to the team leader during normal duties.

• Committed to work towards BICSc Cleaning Operatives Foundation Certificate or NVQ Level 1 in Cleaning Operations within 6 months of appointment.
• Awareness of general cleaning methods and techniques.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and safe use of materials and equipment.
• Understanding of requirements in dealing with staff and public.
• Ability to communicate clearly, with good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage time and work to schedules.
