POSITION: E-Commerce Specialist - INTERNATIONAL TRADE ADVISER SALARY: £36,000 pa. ? Dependent on experience HOURS: Full-time, Fixed Term Project until 31 March 2021, with a potential for extension to Sept 2021 LOCATION: West Midlands CLOSING DATE: Closing date for applications is: 18/09/20 DESCRIPTION: Following the Spring Budget, our client has been awarded further funding as part of HMGs levelling up agenda. This funding will see our client expand their portfolio of Advisers to include E-Commerce Specialists across the West Midlands LEP Geographies. Working as part of a successful team of International Trade Advisers within the West Midlands. The focus of the role will be to support UK export-ready companies, through targeted digital/e-commerce advice and coaching to grow their businesses internationally. The aim is to increase the company?s international sales by offering them appropriate digital and ecommerce solutions. The successful candidates will demonstrate: Essential: Sound general knowledge with an awareness of issues affecting UK economy and especially business. Business awareness ? company finance and structure; mechanics of exporting. Must be able to demonstrate drive, commitment, and flexibility in achieving challenging targets. Must have a general understanding of the DIT regional & worldwide networks and its services for UK Businesses. Good knowledge and strong understanding of local partners, stakeholders and key agencies involved in economic development, and business support programmes available to businesses including government /public sector and EU funding. Excellent relationship management skills and effective communication skills at multiple levels, particularly at senior management and CEO level. The ability to analyse, collate, interpret, and present data Excellent IT and integrated business technology skills Ability to organise and prioritise Ability to manage multiple projects within timescales Desirable: A minimum of five years previous International Trade experience within E-Commerce sector in a target driven business development or commercial role.
