Rehabilitation Specialist (Occupational Therapist / …, Nationwide

Due to organic growth my client, one of the UK's leading providers of Employee Benefit and individual protection policies, currently seek an experienced and qualified Occupational Therapist or a registered Nurse with an Occupational Health or Rehabilitation qualification, to join their national rehabilitation / claims team. This is a varied role and exciting role offering the opportunity to lead a medical team who are responsible for overseeing the delivery of early intervention, treatment and therapy and rehabilitation and return to work plans. Duties will include: * Providing comprehensive clinical advice to support the claims management team * Assisting with the assessment of critical illness and income protection claims * develop relationships with claimants and conducting assessments in order to assess their clinical capability. * Develop rehabilitation plans * Help develop processes and procedures in order to assist in the development of an industry leading rehabilitation programme * Pro-actively manage claims and return to work plans * Provide guidance and training to colleagues throughout the country * Manage a team of rehabilitation specialists Applicants must be (currently) registered Occupational Therapists or Nurses with vocational rehabilitation experience.You will possess proven experience in people leadership, communication and risk management along with the ability to investigate, assess and implement rehabilitation and back to work programmes.
