Role Profile: The NOC Technician will be required to work as part of an engineering team providing technical solution support located in the NRTS NOC. They will be required to provide administrational support to the engineering team, to assist in ensuring that all Incidents are resolved in accordance with NOC procedures, working to meet contractual KPIs. This role involves working as part of a 24/7 shift roster. Typical Deliverables: Create network fault tickets arising from customer reports, or by instruction from Duty Manager. Allocate/despatch tickets to technical support and field engineering groups, and other service providers. Manage fault tickets, ensuring regular and comprehensive updates. Manage logistics process where equipment spares are required. Manage requests for access to NRTS sites, including providing remote access and logging all site access. Organise traffic management, including coordinating traffic management provider, regional control team, and field resource. Manage site access issues with third party maintainers. Liaise with customers to provide updates on network faults. Liaise with utility companies where power loss is causing a network issue. Manage incoming telephone calls in a professional and timely manner. Monitor and action group email inbox.
