Financial Controller - Retail, Birmingham

Haig&Co are partnered with one of the UK's most recognisable retail brands to support the leadership team in finding their next superstar Financial Controller to join them in their Birmingham location.  The Role The role of the Financial Controller will be integral to the support and value add within the senior management team and be responsible for all of the Finance and Admin and Transactional functions across the group businesses.  This role will be key in the provision of relevant and timely MI and reports to the Execs and you will be a key partner to the MD and COO. You will have a team of 7 to manage and lead and be the on-site financial conscience of the business, being a trusted advisor, and challenger to the senior stakeholders.  You will oversee all of the financial reporting, the monthly life cycle of accounts (Management and Financial Accounting) processes, payroll, AP/AR functions and also lead the administrative and back-office team, with a constant eye on operational and process improvements, and drive automation via the relevant technology solution.  The Person My client would ideally like someone with experience or exposure in a multi-site retail-oriented or FMCG environment and ideally we are seeking someone to start ASAP.  We need to hear from fully qualified Finance professionals (ACA/ACC/ACMA) with a strong track record of delivering amazing finance value adds across their career and who have operated at a mid to senior level in their most recent roles and who thrives on autonomy with a driven sense of purpose.  The Reward Remuneration is a basic salary of up to £50,000 plus bonus, pension and flexible working if needed
