Building Surveyor, Birmingham

Daniel Owen are looking for several Building Surveyors to join our Client working in Birmingham providing a range of Surveying services. The suitable candidate will get to become part of a growing company and will have an exciting opportunity to develop within a positive professional culture. You will provide a bespoke service to their client base working for national contractors as well as several renowned Birmingham based architectural practices. The main purpose of the role is to provide a fast, efficient, and cost effective planned and reactive contract works service. Job Responsibilities: Assist the Senior Manager/Senior Building Surveyor to deliver high quality services with specific responsibilities for building surveying and project procurement Undertake measured surveys and site inspections Produce specifications Preparation of specifications, schedules of work and drawings Providing building maintenance advice Building condition surveys Contract administration including drafting of standard contract forms Ensure all work is compliant with UK building regulations Qualifications & Experience Required: BSc or MSc in Building Surveying Be self-motivated and have excellent computing skills Full UK Driving Licence Knowledge of current building regulations Knowledge of different types of building surveys Previous experience in a Building Surveyor environment A confident communicator, at all levels, both verbally and in writing
