Manage a Safeguarding Team in a Changing Authority A Local Authority, which has recently invested heavily in improvements is seeking an experienced Social Work manager to join their Safeguarding service. Highlights: Will be managing a small Assessment and Safeguarding team You will have the opportunity to work from home due to the current situation around Covid-19 The Local Authority has recently implemented a number of changes including recruiting a new permanent Director who started in February this year. The Local Authority is working alongside Professor Thorpe and Elaine McHale; who work to the Virtuous Cycle model Leeds Council has been drafted to partner with the authority to help develop It's services Eleanor Brazil is working as a Commissioner and continues to support improvements. The Local Authority is currently going through an intensive period of improvement which you will be encouraged to be a part of ultimately improving future employment prospects Pay rates for this post is £39.07/Hr, which is in line with the memorandum for the region. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a post within a developing Local Authority which has partnered with leading academics as well as Leeds Council to help drive and support improvements. As a Team Manager you will be encouraged to be involved with the various projects aimed to help drive practice improvement which in turn will improve your future employment prospects. As a Team Manager you will be joining an established Assessment and Safeguarding team and will be reporting into a supportive senior manager who has been with the Local Authority for some time.
