Special Needs Teaching Assistant, Birmingham

radewind Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced SEND teaching assistant to work with KS2 pupils with ASD. The school is part of a academy trust and has received an Ofsted 'GOOD' rating. The role starts in September 2020 £65 and £70 per day. Highly regarded mainstream Primary School with a SEN provision in North Birmingham that works with a wide variety of SEN pupils, are looking for an SEND Primary specialist to work with their ASD pupils that could include ADHD or MLD. -Experience working with ASD pupils is preferred but not essential -SEN experience is required -Staff will need to be able to think on their feet and work with energetic challenging pupils. -PECS and Makaton experience is desired. You will be working as a support staff member in a team of three who will work throughout the school providing additional support to those classes who need it most throughout the day. Located in North Birmingham the school has local bus links however if you are a car driver it is much easier to drive and the school and they have ample parking.
