Legionella Risk Assessor Home Based Permanent Salary Negotiable + Company Vehicle + benefits The Client Our client who specialises within the Water Treatment industry are currently looking to recruit a mobile based Legionella Risk Assessor to work as part of their Water Treatment Service Team. The Role As Legionella Risk Assessor you will be responsible for carrying out all Legionella risk assessments at client sites in accordance with BS8580-1 2019, ACOP L8 and HSG274. You will then be expected to advise and explain to site responsible persons to the company and account managers the findings of these assessments and the extent of the implications of non-compliances. This is a field-based role, however you will be required to travel to client sites across the UK, depending on your work schedule. Key Responsibilities * To interpret the significant findings identified in the assessment and communicate to the customer recommendations on the remedial actions required in order to demonstrate that the company is effectively discharging its responsibilities. * Regular reporting to Line management of progress and status. * To write up risk assessments in the company defined format and meet any deadlines required. * To follow company procedures and the use of all its documentation. * To identify and report any Significant Matters of Concern to the site responsible person and your line manager. * Liaising with individual Account Managers with regards to all technical issues and to generate quotes. * Liaising and communicating with all relevant stakeholders to ensure all remedial works are completed satisfactorily. * Maintaining and updating any job critical qualifications or accreditations. * Building and maintaining good relationships through appropriate communication with all relevant internal and external stakeholders. * Take all reasonable steps to ensure own safety and that of others. Complying with all current legislation and any prevailing site rules. Report any accidents, incidents or near misses in accordance with Company or client policies. * Work to achieve K.P. I?s and targets set and agreed with line manager. Experience Required * A recognised certification in Legionella Risk Assessing HSG274 parts 1, 2 & 3. * Have previous experience of carrying out legionella risk assessments on a number of systems such as evaporative cooling systems, process waters and recycled water. * An in-depth demonstrable knowledge of the Water Systems Regulations and the Control of Legionella Bacteria Code of Practice (L8) & HSG 274. * A level of self-sufficiency in legionella risk management, with knowledge gained through professional qualification and or experience. * Experience of carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments across a wide variety of properties, construction types and operations in the public sector, commercial and industrial properties would be desirable. * The skills necessary to understand, communicate and influence people on the benefits of proposed solutions or the need to take a specific course of action. * Ability to demonstrate a flexible approach to working and a clear commitment to service delivery and customer care. * Substantial problem-solving abilities to be able to select and recommend solutions from a number of alternatives. * Ability to meet agreed objectives and delivery targets by the effective use of resources. * Ability to consult with customers from a wide spectrum of industries and discuss procedures, remedials and actions. * Ability to review logbooks and monitoring records to recognise trends Benefits * Competitive salary + Commission * Company vehicle + Fuel Card * Laptop and mobile phone * 25 days holiday plus 8 public holidays * Access to a Private Medical Insurance Scheme * Pension Scheme About ATS Recruitment ATS Recruitment are a specialist agency supplying skilled candidates into the high technology engineering and construction industries on both a permanent and contract basis.
