Practitioner Psychologist ? Forensic, Clinical or Counselling Branas Isaf Children?s Service is part of the CareTech Family. Job Role You will be a registered Practitioner Psychologist (Forensic, Clinical or Counselling). The role involves working within a clinical and wider integrated team of professionals within Branas Isaf. This role applies psychological knowledge and expertise to service users and professionals within the group e.g. education and care staff. Primarily, our work supports children and young males aged 10 ? 18 who present with a number of complex interpersonal, emotional and behaviour issues. A number of the young people within our care have experienced significant trauma. The activities include conducting psychometric and risk assessments, formulation and developing, providing and evaluating individual and group therapy. You will also provide support and consultation to the team as well as providing some training and being involved with the team in service development. Essential · Post-graduate doctoral level training in Clinical, Counselling or Forensic psychology. · Live registration or if newly qualified be eligible as soon as possible for registration by the governing body (HCPC, BPS). · To provide a specialist psychology input to young people and the Branas Isaf integrated team. · Your role will be to carry out complex assessments, formulation and interventions to meet the needs of individual service users. · Maintain effective records and complete reports in line with the Branas Isaf clinical team framework and therapeutic model. · Undertake Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) training and be part of and contribute towards the DBT Consult and Skills Group Training. · Contribute to the delivery of training on specific subjects with the rest of the clinical team within skill and knowledge set. · Maintain a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems. · Have a licence and access to own transport.
