Family Solicitor and Head of Department Shrewsbury, Shropshire Very competitive salary dependent on experience An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Senior Family Solicitor to join a highly reputable and Legal 500 practice with a great presence in the south. They are a full-service firm with other across the UK. They are seeking a Solicitor with an exceptional understanding of the market to join their Shrewsbury office to lead the family department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise in dealing with a full range of Family work gained at a reputable law firm. You will be bringing on new cases on a variety of matters to include divorce and separation, private children matters and financial agreements / disputes. The caseload will be predominantly privately funded. Duties will include: Managing and building your own caseload Advising on a variety of mid to high net worth, privately funded family matters to include Divorce / Separation, Financial Disputes, Civil Partnership Dissolution, Child Care Law and Pre-Nuptials Travelling to client meetings Be actively involved in marketing and business development activities to help grow the department Managing and supporting the team The successful candidate will: Experienced background within Family Law Have good academics ? Degree/LPC/Training Contract or have achieved FCILEx status Offer sound legal advice to a diverse client base Maintain your continuing professional development requirements Ideally have mediation experience and be a member of resolution Be self-motivated with a drive to develop the department by going out and networking Work in a collaborative manner within the team and wider firm Have a positive approach and strong work ethic Have successful marketing and development skills A car and driving license are essential A very competitive salary and great benefits package is on offer for the right candidate
