Location: Lift Four Dwellings Secondary, Dwellings Lane, Quinton, Birmingham, B32 1RJ, United Kingdom.

Salary: SCP 5-8 £25,583.00 - £26,824.00, Actual Salary: £21,906.70 - £22,969.37 + well-being cash plan + pension scheme + additional Lift Schools benefits

Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Contract: Permanent

We are seeking a Receptionist to join Lift Four Dwellings Secondary and play a key role as the first point of contact for students, families, staff and visitors. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly improving school where every student is known, valued and supported to succeed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing reception, visitor procedures and telephone enquiries
  • Supporting attendance administration and student welfare
  • Coordinating appointments, deliveries and meeting room bookings
  • Supporting first aid provision and safeguarding procedures
  • Assisting with school events and wider operational activities
  • Providing clerking and administrative support to the Academy Council, including minute‑taking and maintaining governance records

What you’ll need to succeed

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in an administrative or customer-facing role
  • Has strong communication, organisational and IT skills
  • Can remain calm and professional in a busy environment
  • Works well independently and as part of a teamHas a passion for supporting young people
  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality

Experience working within a school environment or supporting meetings/governance processes would be advantageous.
