Following the implementation of Concur and SuccessFactors Talent in 2021, we are seeking a Systems Specialist to support and develop these platforms. Based in the Shared Services and Performance Technical Team, you will work closely with the Systems Manager and stakeholders across DfT to maintain, troubleshoot and enhance systems, ensuring they remain stable, effective and fit for purpose as we move to the future state where we will be migrating to a new Technology Platform and Shared Service with HMRC and MHCLG.

Full time roles consist of 37 hours per week.
Whilst we welcome applications from those looking to work with us on a part time basis, there is a business requirement for the successful candidate to be able to work at least29.6hours per week.
This roleis suitablefor hybrid working, which is a non-contractual arrangement where a combination of workplace and home-based working can be accommodated subject to business requirements.
The expectation at present is a minimum of60%of your working time a month will be spent at either your designated workplace (one of the locations cited in the advert) or, when required for business reasons, in another office/work location/visiting stakeholders. Your designated workplace will be your contractual place of work. There may be occasions where you are required to attend above the minimum expectation.
Occasional travel to other offices will be required, which may involve overnight stays.

Job description

- To provide expert support and guidance on the management of Successfactors and Concur to our users
- Act as second line support, and trouble shoot issues with stakeholders
- Support the continuous improvement and optimisation of the solutions,
- Manage support cycles and related patching activities, including testing and impact assessments, and building business cases with business stakeholders for additional features
- Create and update necessary support documentation for our solutions
- Assist core stakeholders in upskilling, and identifying opportunities to improve data quality and usage
- Ensure queries are resolved in a timely manner
- To be flexible and adaptable to undertake any other duties and reasonable programme wide requests as demand arises.

- Experience with SAP ECC6, SAP SuccessFactors or SAP Concur
- Knowledge and experience of maintaining and optimising systems, in a similar role.
