HGV Class 2 Day Driver, Birmingham

HGV CLASS 2 DRIVER– MINIMUM 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Minworth, Birmingham . This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and long-term opportunities for experienced drivers.This role will suit applicants looking for work as a HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Truck Driver. Shifts:• Monday to Friday • Start times between 06:30 and 07:00 Rates of Pay: • £14.84 per hour • Overtime paid at £15.84 per hour Benefits: • Excellent hourly rates (PAYE – holidays accrued separately)• Minimum 46.25 hours paid per week • Weekly pay • Ongoing work with full training and support • Immediate starts available • Weekend overtime subject to availability • Full uniform provided after probation period • Company discounts after qualifying period • Employee wellbeing programmeDay-to-Day Duties:• Safely operate and drive Class 2 vehicles to and from delivery locations • Complete multi-drop palletised deliveries to customers • Carry out kerbside deliveries professionally and safely • Operate both electric and manual pump trucks • Complete loading and unloading taskswith care and accuracy• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects to management • Adhere to all traffic laws and road safety regulations • Some handball duties required Essential Skills: • Valid UK Category C Licence held for a minimum of 2 years • Valid UK CPC Card and Digital TachographCard• Experience operating electric and manual pump trucks • Experience completing multi-drop palletised deliveries • No more than six penalty points for minor offences • No IN, DR, DD or CD endorsement codes • Reliable, professional and punctual • Good communication and customer service skills• Good understanding of road safety and compliance • Flexibility to meet operational requirements Desirable Experience: • Previous commercial or multi-drop delivery experience • Experience handling large or bulky goods • Strong customer service experience Training Provided:• Full industry-related training provided • Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment Apply: If you are interested in this opportunity and would like to find out more, please click apply.
