Job Description

Environmental Technician II will be responsible for knowing the location and treatment for inbound waste streams. The role involves treating and processing waste with on‑site equipment, including pit mixing, drum pumping, drum dumping, and basic hi‑lo and wheel loader operation. The technician must complete required paperwork in accordance with company practices and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Complete required paperwork in accordance with company practices and procedures.
  • Collect samples of inbound waste to assess compatibility.
  • Unload bulk liquid trucks to the proper tank.
  • Resolve and report issues with inbound loads.
  • Operate hi‑lo and end loaders in a safe manner.
  • Maintain knowledge of waste streams and their treatment protocols.
  • Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications – Basic Requirements
  • 2+ years of prior experience working with hazardous materials.
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Ability to operate equipment, including forklift and pallet jack.
  • Visual acuity to read labels and documentation; depth perception to safely drive forklifts.
  • Ability to hear vehicle warning chimes and alarms.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non–climate‑controlled conditions.
  • Willingness and ability to wear company‑issued personal protection equipment including safety glasses, hard hat, steel‑toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator.
Preferred Requirements
  • High school diploma.
  • Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills to complete web‑based training.
  • Ability to understand and respond to written and verbal English.
  • Predictable attendance during scheduled hours; willing to work nights, weekends, and variable schedules as needed.
  • Professional demeanor with customers and coworkers.
