GSL Education are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teachers to work in schools across Wakefield.

As a Maths Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve success and develop a positive attitude towards mathematics. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated educator to deliver high‑quality maths lessons and support students in developing confidence, analytical thinking, and strong academic foundations.

• Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Teach mathematics across Key Stages 3, 4 & 5, preparing students for assessments and exams
• Develop students’ problem‑solving and analytical skills
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
• Maintain strong classroom management and promote positive behaviour
• Support students’ academic and personal development
• Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• A degree in Mathematics or a related subject
• Experience teaching Maths in a school setting is desirable
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities
• A proactive and professional approach to teaching
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
