We are looking for an outstanding Kitchen Assistant/Catering Assistant who's passionate about food and wants to make a difference.

You'll be working Parttime 10 hours a week at Cygnet Hospital Bierley, creating an excellent experience for the people in our care.

Cygnet Hospital Bierley provides a range of acute and low secure mental health services for men and women.

The hospital is set across four wards offering single-sex male and female specialist mental health services. All our services are provided under the umbrella of a recovery orientated approach and are reviewed through the CPA framework.

Cygnet Hospital Bierley has a true focus on the service user and the over‑riding aim of providing the best quality treatment and care possible. The team are committed to delivering care and treatment guided by the principles of a trauma informed approach.

• Assist the team in the providing balanced, appetising meals
• Perform basic food preparation, cooking tasks & other kitchen duties
• Wash utensils, dishes & make sure they are stored appropriately
• Sort, store & distribute ingredients, check deliveries and assist with stock ordering
• Maintain personal hygiene and ensure the kitchen is clean & hygienic
• Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures
• Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.

• Passionate about catering, preferably with experience within a care setting
• Enthusiastic, keen to learn and an active team member
• Polite & professional, with a positive attitude at all times
• An excellent communicator who can liaise with people at all levels
• Able to work on your own initiative & under supervision
• Diligent & take pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness.

£13.15 Per Hour
