Personal Injury Lawyer / 1+ PQE / Leeds / c GBP 50,000 (DOE) – An excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded, Legal 500 ranked claimant personal injury team. The role offers exposure to a varied and fast‑paced caseload alongside excellent long‑term career development prospects.

The successful Personal Injury Lawyer will manage a varied portfolio of claimant personal injury matters, predominantly employer’s liability and public liability claims, alongside road traffic accident and disease cases. You will handle files from inception through to settlement, including both pre‑litigated and litigated matters, ensuring cases progress efficiently and in line with MOJ Portal and Civil Procedure Rules requirements. The role involves drafting legal documents such as pleadings, schedules of loss, witness statements and settlement documentation, and liaising with clients, medical experts, insurers and third parties. You will be responsible for maintaining high levels of client care, progressing your own caseload independently and working to agreed targets and service standards. The position also offers involvement in marketing and business development initiatives, including content creation and wider community engagement activities.

Applications are sought from Lawyers with between 1–7 years’ PQE or equivalent claimant personal injury experience, with a proven ability to manage a busy caseload independently from inception to settlement. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of personal injury law and procedure, including the MOJ Pre‑Action Protocol and Civil Procedure Rules, alongside experience of EL/PL and RTA work (disease experience would be advantageous). You will be confident drafting legal documents, conducting legal research and communicating effectively with clients, medical professionals and other stakeholders. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure are essential, as is a professional and client‑focused approach. Candidates should also be comfortable working toward targets and contributing positively to a high‑performing team environment.
