The Role We are seeking a Night Team Leader to join our team and report directly to the Senior Guest Service Manager. The successful candidate will hold a pivotal role within the hotel and be recognised as a responsible person overseeing the smooth running of the nightly hotel operation. The Night Team Leader will uphold night-time auditing duties, ensuring key tasks are completed efficiently and comprehensively. The Night Team Leader will enjoy a generalist role where they will support in many areas of the hotel operation including security, health and safety, guest satisfaction, line management and auditing duties. We are seeking an approachable and sensible individual who is self-efficient and reliable. Previous experience within a hotel setting is not essential but experience managing or supervising the nightly operation of a business is an advantage. Key Responsibilities Include: * General Reception duties including greeting, checking in and out guests in line with the Hilton Brand Standards. Booking customer reservations and answering telephone queries. * Professional use of email and other communication facilities. * Completion of night audits and security observations. Ensuring comprehensive detailed reports are provided. * Responsible for guest welfare on an evening by maintaining high levels of hotel security and responsiveness at all times. * Ensuring thoroughly handovers are provided to the day team. * Cash handling in line with the company Cash Handling policy. * Duty Management responsibilities such as managing guest queries, security checks, first-aider support etc. * Preparing and cooking of food and drink orders throughout the night shift. * Communicating and liaising with guests and other Hilton team members including housekeeping to ensure a smooth operation and excellent guest experience. * Thorough knowledge of the Hotel?s products and offers. Able to provide advice, support and recommendations to guests. * Excellent knowledge of Blackburn and the Hotel?s surrounding area. * Line Management duties such as shift scheduling, appraisals, and training. * HR duties such as absence management, recruitment and new starter inductions. * Supporting in the set-up and preparation of the hotel for the day shift. * Adhering to all company policies, procedures and training mandates at all times.
