Teaching Assistant, Blackpool

An SEN School in Blackpool are currently seeking SEN TA's to support the needs of their pupils. The school is a multi-faith school that provides high quality specialist education for children and young people with a wide range of learning needs, including autism, complex medical needs and sensory impairments. To be considered, your experience should include work in a specialist SEN school or setting, care work, youth work, nursing or a close personal connection to SEN e.g. a family member or friend whom you may have supported. This should be detailed on your CV in full. Opportunities in school are for those looking for long-term work but you must be flexible and willing to work on a supply basis initially. The school favour candidates who are upbeat, friendly, resilient, hardworking and those with a genuine passion to make a difference to the lives of children with SEN. Some pupils in school undertake hydrotherapy sessions, which includes the use of water / a pool to relieve pain and increase mobility. Although this isn't an essential part of the role, we are keen to hear from those who are keen to engage in this activity. Candidates with Team Teach and Moving and Handling are highly sought after. You must be willing to offer personal care (including feeding, toileting and changing) if you wish to be considered. This is non-negotiable. The roles will be on a full time basis (8:30am - 3:30pm) therefore those with full availability are highly sought after.
