Maths Teaching Assistant, Blackpool

An exceptional secondary school within the Fylde coast has approached Vida to recruit a full time teaching assistant with a specialism in Maths starting from Monday 14th September 2020. In this Teaching Assistant position, you will be expected to support children and offer support in Maths as well as holding intervention classes with lower ability children. Whilst this is an ideal role for any Teaching Assistant that specialises in Maths, this could also be well suited to a specialist qualified teacher who is no longer wishing to take on the full responsibility of a teaching position. The role will be on going, with no confirmed end date and therefore likely to be for the full academic year. The school has recently be graded as ?good? from Ofsted, therefore are looking for a candidate who will be a strong, confident addition to the school staff who will contribute to the high standard of the school. The candidate should also have experience with children who experience behavioural problems, socially and mentally and require extra support. Said candidate must also be able to maintain patience and calmness and have an understanding of special needs. Flexibility and ability to cover sessions for absent teachers is also desirable. In order to be considered for this post, you will need to: * Hold QTS or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualifications * Have experience with children who require additional support Vida Education, offer competitive and excellent rates of pay who take a great deal of pride in providing high quality service to both candidates and schools.
