Data. Work. Products. About you and your role: The Lead Data Manager is primarily an operations role focused on service delivery within ITIL /ITSM. You'll ensure maintenance and development of critical cross-governmental live services to over 500 customers, including HMRC, NHS, Home Office and Immigration and Office of National Statistics. You'll be cut from a cloth of technical operations programme management, service delivery with a central service portfolio. And ideally from within a DevOps development environment delivering digital products. You have experience of embedding positive cultural change. You'll be able to win hearts and minds. You're a collaborative leader, with a real understanding of how to manage people, processes and customers to best deliver value, purpose and vision. You influence and motivate others, ensuring positive morale and team spirit. You'll help us ensure meaningful contributions are celebrated and recognised. It's a senior, expert-level role for us with plenty of ownership and responsibility. You make sure quality is high and user needs are met across a portfolio of data products and services. You'll lead colleagues from across a variety of disciplines, providing expert advice or dealing with complex or high level problems. And you'll represent our Data-as-a-Service division at a senior level. You will manage stakeholder escalation and communication during major incidents with an impact on data quality, latency and timely delivery. What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for? Problem solving: you anticipate and prevent problems; you can troubleshoot and identify problems across different technology capabilities. Service reporting: you have leveraged your data analytics skills to enhance business performance. Incident Management: You have led the investigation and resolution of incidents. Relationship/supplier management: you have determined a strategic vision and direction and positively influenced key senior stakeholders. And actively managed suppliers & SLA and dealt with problems to resolution. Data Platforms: You have experience in at least one tool, for example: SAS/ SAS-E Guide, SQL / PLSQL, Business Objects, Informatica, Abinitio, Spark, Cloudera Morphlines, AWS Glue, SAS DI Studio. Data Governance: You ensure data governance supports changes to organisational strategy and assure corporate services by understanding key risks and mitigations.Where you'll work You'll join us in your choice of our brilliant digital hubs in either Blackpool, Leeds or Newcastle.
