Mechanical Engineer, Blackpool

GoFind Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and highly interesting industrial business in Blackpool that is looking to recruit a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their maintenance team during an exciting period of growth.

You will support the ongoing maintenance, inspection, and reliability of complex mechanical systems and heavy-duty equipment within a high-footfall operational environment. This role is focused on ensuring assets operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime through proactive maintenance and continuous improvement.

This is a hands-on position, offering long-term stability, structured hours, and the opportunity to work in a technically challenging environment.

The Role:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on large-scale mechanical systems at hight
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults using structured problem-solving techniques
• Perform inspections, testing, and condition monitoring to ensure operational safety and compliance
• Support installation, commissioning, and modification of mechanical equipment
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Work collaboratively with electrical and controls engineers to ensure seamless operation
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability and performance
• Ensure adherence to health & safety standards and engineering best practices

About You:

• Level 3 Mechanical qualification (essential)
• Proven experience maintaining heavy machinery
• Comfortable working at height (highly advantageous)
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented
