School Holiday Hours: Monday to Friday daytime shifts, typically 8.30am to 5.30pm, longer shifts may be required.Bank Hours available to cover absences for the current Support Workers in term time. Jemima is a happy and sociable little girl who lives with her parents and sister; her older half siblings come to stay once a week and in the holidays. Jemima enjoys watching CocoMelon and Peppa Pig, she also loves 1:1 play, music, playing with water and being pushed on her swing.Jemima was born with a chromosomal syndrome and has an associated learning disability and developmental delay. She is making progress with her verbal speech; she has an increasing vocabulary of words she uses regularly, and she will repeat words back to you. Jemima can mobilise independently for short distances but can be unsteady on her feet. Jemima lacks safety awareness and displays sensory seeking behaviours, she must be supervised at all times.Main Duties and Responsibilities Supporting in all activities of daily living to include personal care Providing safety and wellbeing of Jemima Facilitate access to leisure activities outside of the family home on a 2:1 basis Assist in therapeutic programmes at the guidance of the team of therapistsWorking co-operatively with Jemimas parents and the Case Manager Effective communication Work with patience, tact, understanding, warmth and compassion Safeguarding ILS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our clients within the activities we undertake, and ILS expects all our clients employees and workers to share this commitment.
