Trustees for older people's charity - Volunteer, Milton Keynes

Age UK Milton Keynes is looking for keen individuals to join our Board – people who want to make a real and positive difference for the quality of life for older people and would like to share their skills and ideas for the benefit of the charity.

Age UK Milton Keynes is a local independent charity working to improve the quality of life for all older people living in Milton Keynes. We provide a range of services to help people stay in their own homes and a social network to keep clients involved with their community, working closely with other organisations for additional support.

As a Trustee, you will attend regular Board meetings (four per year, all day), trustee‑only meetings (two per year), and other ad‑hoc meetings as required by your subject‑matter expertise.

We welcome enthusiastic and focused applicants who can offer knowledge and expertise in the following areas:

• Fundraising
• Financial Management
• Social Care Sector
• Governance
• Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

We also welcome skills in other directions and encourage applications from a broad range of applicants, especially under‑represented groups. The Board seeks members with ambitions for succession planning for Chairperson and Treasurer and welcomes leadership and expertise in new members.
