Supply Chain Manager Job in Lymington Dovetail Recruitment are pleased to be working with a fast growing SME in Lymington who are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager who is detailed, methodical, enthusiastic and tenacious, who can manage the delivery of goods sold on time and to budget, clearly communicate, identify risks and solutions and work in a dynamic, complex environment. The Supply Chain Manager will be working very closely with the MD, colleagues in Supply Chain and New Product Development, clients and suppliers to ensure the smooth running of customer accounts. Duties and Responsibilities: * Liaising with clients, manufacturers, suppliers and logistics companies. * Building a good understanding of products and factories. * Raising purchase orders, arranging sign off and sending to factories. * Liaising with several suppliers who may be involved in the same order. * Being responsible for ensuring key dates are met * Being capable of managing and controlling up to 80 projects at any one time * Reviewing samples against specifications, noticing all details and communicating any differences with the factory * Ensuring there are no issues when goods arrive in UK, ensuring clients receive everything they need on time and that the products are of the quality expected. * Arranging QC inspections, detailing all aspects of specifications to be checked and ensuring that appropriate reference samples are with the inspectors in good time. * Monitoring factory production timings closely, and keeping on top of suppliers to ensure timings do not slip. * Working closely with the Director to advise if timings slip and creating a plan of action to manage client expectations if problems occur. * Requesting shipping schedules from factories and liaising with Chinese and UK shipping agents to arrange shipment and importation of goods to meet client deadlines . * Organising all shipping documents for Chinese and UK shipping agents, producing company delivery notes and invoices for clients in good time. Knowledge and Experience: * Chinese language skills preferable but not essential. * Previous experience dealing with suppliers, factories or manufacturers in the Far East. * Attention to detail * Must drive and have own car * Flexible approach Salary & Benefits: * Up to £26,000 per annum * Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm * Free parking onsite * 20 days holiday + bank holidays pro rata This Supply Chain Manager Job in Lymington would suit candidates who have supply chain experience and have dealt with suppliers in the far east.
