Staffline is recruiting for a Permanent Butcher in Huntingdon Shifts are either: Days 6am - 6pm (4 on / 4 off) Nights 6pm - 6am (Tuesday - Friday) Rate of pay including shift allowance is £10.03 days, £11.89 nights Your Time at Work - You will ensure all product is inspected at the Butchers station, processed where required, and passed to the packing area meeting standards outlined in the retail specification - Ensure all equipment being used is processing product to the required standard and achieving target yield. If not bring to the attention of the Line Leader immediately and assist the corrective action where appropriate - Ensure any deviations from the agreed specification with regards to primal quality are immediately brought to the attention of the Line Leader and Quality Team - Ensure all tasks are carried out efficiently and contribute to the achievement of team targets - Ensure Product Yields are met while not compromising on Quality - Play a central role in the introduction of new products on the production line to ensure all staff involved are aware of the products key attributes in order to ensure the end product meets the expectations of the customer - Be familiar with and confirm to the company's Health and Safety Programme - Comply with all relevant Health and Safety legislation and observe all safety rules  - Do not endanger yourself or others by your actions or omissions  - Use appropriate protective clothing, safety equipment and safety devices at all times  - Report all accidents/injuries and near misses immediately  - Follow all instructions given by any person with a responsibility for health and safety  - Keep your place of work in a clean and tidy condition at all times  - Report all hazards / non-conformances / substandard conditions as observed and make representations for improvements to the Engineering Manager /Supervisor or safety representative  Our Perfect Worker - You will be able to provide assistance to the Line Leader when training new staff - Take a leading role in ensuring the production line is delivering on product quality - Pro-actively engage the Team Leader with ideas for product and personal development - Ensure the culture of continuous improvement is maintained and developed throughout the factory - Support the company's risk management strategy Key Information and Benefits Location accessible from Town Centre Free Parking on site About Staffline Staffline is the biggest recruiter in the UK and Ireland, and we believe in putting people first.
