LEARNING DISABILITIES SUPPORT WORKERS LOCATION: FERNDOWN, DORSET 36 HOUR PERMANENT CONTRACTS DAYS SHIFTS AVAILABLE 8AM TO 6PM £9.51 PER HOUR About our clients: Our clients are seeking Care and Support for an Individual Service user who lives in Ferndown, providing care and support to him in his home, he has Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder and he requires complex care and support on a day to day basis. About the position as Learning Disabilities Support Workers: The Service User requires Care & Support in his home, we are seeking experienced Learning Disabilities Support Workers to provide day care and support. You must have previous experience as a Care Assistant or Support Worker.  The Service User enjoys going out every day to engage in active activities such as long walks, swimming, trampolining and using his scooter. He also enjoys sensory activities, watching his favorite DVD?s, using his swing, cooking etc. Ideal applicant for the Support Worker role should have some Care or Support Worker experience, with either Learning Disabilities or Mental Health and experience of Challenging Behaviour. The service user needs the Care Support Worker to give him confidence, patience, understanding and reassuring him when he gets anxious. Also you must be motivated to support the service user to access his preferred activities while making sure he and others are safe.
